Saved Client £785 in Fuel Costs per Year

We were asked to advise and organise the reduction of fuel costs for the client. The Energy Performance Certificate showed that the property which was built in the early 1960’s had the following features:

• No insulation in the Cavity Walls
• No insulation in the loft space
• A very old back boiler to heat the dwelling
• A water cylinder with insufficent insulation and no cylinder stat
• No energy efficient light bulbs

We made the following changes. Approximate annual savings on the fuel costs for this property were £785 per year.

• Cavity wall insulation
• 250mm Loft insulation
• Energy Light bulbs throughout the house
• Replaced boiler with a Band A Condensing Boiler and put Programmer, Room Thermostat and TRV’s into the property
